The FOX 2.5 987-24-031/ 987-24-009 2.5 Performance Series Smooth Body HTO Shock for the GMC Sierra 2500HD / 3500HD is a bolt-on shock absorber featuring position-sensitive technology, vehicle-specific valving, and larger pistons for enhanced road performance.

The 2.5-inch diameter 6061-T1 type II anodized aluminum "Smooth" body resists corrosion, efficiently dissipates heat, and looks awesome. This shock body incorporates an internal floating piston (IFP) to separate shock oil from high-pressure nitrogen, optimizing damping performance.

The Hydraulic Top Out (HTO) technology provides position-sensitive rebound damping control, improving comfort and reducing harsh top-outs by directing shock oil through a secondary shim stack to slow the shock shaft speed. This is especially advantageous for vehicles with heavier, aggressive tires and those lifted beyond OEM specifications.
